Daytrotter Sessions

As you might have noticed i love the websites with special features like videos or special recordings. That's why i love Daytrotter.com. There is a lot of good music to find, among the Swedish we find Loney, Dear and Dungen. You might also find fellow Scandinavian Ane Brun interesting. Become a member to be able to download free mp3's.

In the future i hope to find more Swedish music on Daytrotter, but in the meantime i enjoy a lot of other favorites on the website.

Music in Swedish

Often I get the question Who is the best artist that sings in Swedish? The "Swedofiles" out there is very interested in listening to music sung in Swedish. I don't know why, since the lyrics must get lost in translation... [maybe it sounds exotic, like when I listen to French music]?

Well, if you are one of these people who enjoy an afternoon with some Swedish singing, you should look up the following artists.

Why do you like to listen to music sung in Swedish?

--> Anna Järvinen [video with Annika Norlin]

--> Håkan Hellström [official video for För En Lång Lång Tid]

--> Markus Krunegård [the song Jag Är En Vampyr]

--> Lars Winnerbäck [the song Elegi]

--> Säkert [the song Vi Kommer Att Dö Samtidigt]

--> Vapnet [the song Plötsligt Händer Det Inte]

Who is your favorite?

Who is your favorite Swedish artist, and why? The world, and I, want to know more about the people reading this blog. Therefor i now open the blog for guest entries!

Email me at swedishmusicfordummies[at]gmail.com and i will publish your story.
